One day I was scrolling through Insta and saw an ad for a free art workshop. I knew they would be advertising a year long class afterwards which I wasn't up for but I thought I would watch the webinar anyway. In it, the woman stood at her easel and demonstrated a painting for an hour. She used water soluble graphite which peaked my interest. As soon as it was over I raced to my local art supply shop and got myself some and set to work.
 
I used the graphite, watercolour pastels, my own printed paper for her collaged flowers, earrings and corner details. Lastly, I used poscas to add details.
 
I was so in the zone that day, she poured out of me. It was a magical feeling.

She has just picked up the eleventy billionth toy off the floor and is done for the day.
She runs a bath.
She pours herself something delicious and maybe sneaks a chocolate or two from her stash.
She pops outside, grabs some lavender inhaling it as she heads back to the bathroom and sprinkles it in the steaming water.
She lights a candle and slips her body in.
Oh god that feels good!
All her niggles, stresses and worries wash away and she is still and quiet.
