This mixed media artwork was made using left over paint from a kid's holiday art class I taught. I always get so inspired by the kids and want to create for hours afterwards. There was so much paint left over, I grabbed my watercolour paper and created 4 backgrounds with it. This one using a trowel, then adding gesso and posca pens.
 
The Blue Mountains is the inspiration for a lot of my paintings this one refers to the creeks and rivers I loved visiting as a kid and again as an adult with my own kids. The magic of a floating leaf , the sparkle of the sand, the river pebbles glistening in the sun.
