Abstract Expression- Soul Connection Art Journaling

Soul Connection Art Journaling classes are a way for you to shed your many hats and sit and do something just for you.

It is a safe place to create and be encouraged. 

It is a place to find your own self expression through art.

It is a place to express thoughts, feelings and emotions when the words fail you.

It is a place to be honest and listen to yourself.

It is a place of friendship.

It is a place to go on a journey and not be stuck on the end product.

It is a place to be free of perfection and to go with the flow.

It is a place to learn art skills

  Come and join us for an online art class, creating with your own supplies.  I try to use things that most of you will have at home already. You can always modify my suggestions with what you have, don't feel like you have to go out and buy expensive supplies if you don't want to.

We don't copy artworks in my classes. My aim is for you to use your own creativity and imagination with the techniques I have taught you. All my classes are suitable for beginners to pros. Every class I have people who haven't done art since primary school amazed at what they were able to create. There is no right or wrong, any art goes so please don't feel pressured.

We will start with a relaxation, learn what art journaling is and how it can help you, talk about our supplies and what we will be doing in class.

i will be demonstrating my artwork as we go and talking to each of you as the lesson progresses to see how you are going.

This month, our prompt is "Abstract Expression".

You will need:

- something to art on such as an art journal, piece of paper or old book.

- things to collage with such as old magazine, book, newspaper or catalogue pages, wrapping paper, cards, tickets, craft paper,

          music sheets. 

- 2-3 coloured paints plus black and white. They can be acrylics or watercolours. 

- black and white pen such as poscas, gel pens, sharpies, Uni-ball signo broad (my favourite white pen)

- other pens optional such as gel pens or poscas.
